The Lover in Her Eyes.....

"Wherever you are right now, I hope you know that you made my life a little easier just by being with me throughout."  28th October 2021 at 12 noon while I was packing my stuff in my hostel to leave for her place. A sense of happiness and contentment was overflowing, that I executed everything as I had planned. I along with my friend who is a local resident of Dehradun left for her place. He was there with me throughout to make this trip a success. We left around 12:30, bought some stuff en route, and reached there around 1:30pm. She was downstairs waiting for me outside her PG and the moment she saw me, there was a huge bright smile on her face. "She couldn't hug me as it would have looked very odd in front of my friend but she definitely hugged me very tightly with all her everlasting love, in her mind".  Then she accompanied us to her room, where we met the rest of her friends, cheerful and welcoming. We were there for around half an hour and had a small chit...

The Memorable Trip of 2021

One thing I have learned the very hard way is that you must give your 110% and patiently wait for the result. It was the first week of October 2021 and I was having my mid-term exams and was looking forward to this trip. On 5th November 2021, it was her 22nd birthday, so I also had to plan something for her during this trip. So I immediately searched online for a personalized birthday card and uploaded the design. I only had a week to get that and alongside I got pictures of her printed. I got that personalized birthday card the very same day when I was supposed to leave for Dehradun. I quickly opened the parcel and checked if everything was fine. The card was exactly the same as I planned it to be. I left for Dehradun the very same night, I could not sleep the whole night because of the excitement and adrenaline rush. I still remember she was having her exams the next day and she was not able to study because of the same level of excitement. It was obviously the first time I was doing...

The Unplanned Trip of 2021

Always expect the unexpected and trust the Almighty. It was the first week of August 2021 and I was busy with my daily internship task. And one fine night while I was, as usual, discussing trains with my friends over Whatsapp and dropped a message all at once  "Mata ne bulaya hai" and then came a reply from one of my oldest railfan friends "Kab chalna hai?". "Next week?" I said. "Done" another reply from him. It was a sudden plan and all we had was just a week. The very next day we booked our tickets, hotel, and yatra parchi. The tickets were later confirmed by one of our very close officials as there was a very huge waitlist. It was a sudden trip and the adrenaline rush to visit the holy shrine after almost 10 years left no space for me to sleep during that period. We reached Jammu & Kashmir, took some rest and the next day continued our 20kms trek to the holy shrine. We completed the trek in 10hrs, had a smooth darshan of the shrine, and re...

The U-Turn of Our Relationship...

Life is not always a straight line. It takes a U-Turn when you least expect it to. The moment you realize that everything is going fine, boom, you come across a pothole. When everything was going fine, she was in Dehradun busy with her daily vocation. One day we had a bad fight and everything was upside down and we were no more in touch. We had no clue what was going on in each other's life. One month passed by and then another and likewise another. I was completely cut off from the outside world and spent day and night overthinking. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and start crying recalling everything. Nothing was as same as it was before, at that time I was left all alone. I lost my support system whom I called my everything. I still call that the scariest phases of my life and in between another tragedy hit, I lost my maternal grandfather. He was the one who always wanted to see me as a Judge and ever since I joined my law school, he used to call me "judge saha...

Butterflies all around...

Butterflies all around, hopping all around. The start was good but we were certainly new to all of this. But little did we know what the road ahead holds. Speed breakers, bumpy and chaotic roads. A feeling of sticking around my partner and taking care of her was there but there was also this fear of losing my best(est)friend. Things were good, we used to talk when we were away and meet when in our hometown. 6 months into the relationship I still was new to this but she managed during that time very beautifully. I won't deny the fact that I got to learn many things from her, she made me see things very consciously. She was not my partner but she was my savior.  We were close to our 1 year, and I could see the changes in me. We celebrated our 1st anniversary in lockdown and as they say, you don't get to have too many pictures with the person you are closest with, only a few pictures but they were priceless gems and I still keep it in my phone. I never planned anything big for her...

It all started with a call...

There was a time when I used to think of someone to be as close to me as the moon is to the skies. A friend who would accept my existence without questioning my traits. Frankly, I was never close to my friends even in school. Watching people hang out with their friends made me feel that I will be left behind without a helping hand beside my family. I made friends in school but none of them stayed for long and that made me think, that maybe I am as I am that does not bother anyone. As it goes, destiny always plays its card at right time. When I was about to complete my school, I met someone that completely was a surprise. Initially, she was not very comfortable with the friendship but as time passed, we both became very good friends. Now that fear of being left out was no more in my veins. We used to call each other after our evening classes, and in no time we were each other's happy place. But after a few months, it was the call for us to decide on our respective fields for higher ...
